Unitrans has been moving people safely for over 40 years. Our aim is to consistently free up our clients to focus on growing their businesses by providing an array of solutions that enable our customers to meet their operational, governance, and social commitments and plans.
We specialise in providing transportation services across multiple sectors, regions, customers and consumers. We provide these services through our expertly trained drivers who operate a technically well-maintained extensive fleet of over 1000 vehicles. Our technicians are accredited by the major OEMs to carryout in-warranty maintenance, and we partner with industry experts who provide product-life extending refurbishments across all components on the vehicle. Our services range from supporting mines to have their personnel arriving safely at work and ontime to also moving the personnel within the mine from shaft to shaft. We also move individuals to airports and connect them to their various national and international destinations. As an experienced bus-operator, we provide management across the array of services that enable other bus operators and customer to meet their transportation needs.
We have operational sites across seven provinces in South Africa from which we can offer all the services that meet our customers’ requirements. We also have operations in Mozambique and are expanding our services into other regions in Africa.

Personnel and Commuter Services
Unitrans’ People Transport division focuses on three distinct pillars of operation: personnel transportation services, commuter services and managed services. This backward integrated model allows buses used in certain operations to be repurposed at end of life for use in lower specification operations to maximise asset utilisation and allow for increased returns. Our business partnership model (BPM) has allowed us to build solutions for customers that deliver on enterprise and supplier development objectives and contribute positively to the communities within which we operate.
