New Contract with Companhia de Sena in Marromeu

Unitrans Mozambique has been awarded a new contract within the agricultural sector with Companhia de Sena which is owned by Tereos, the second largest sugar producer in the world. The contract is based in Marromeu on the banks of the Zambezi River where the Companhia de Sena has one of the largest and most modern sugar factories in Mozambique with annual capacity up to 1 million tons of sugar cane. This is a long term contract with potential for further expansion.

Extension of Services for Sugar Producer Tongaat Hulett

Unitrans Mozambique has extended the contract with its client and major sugar producer Tongaat Hullett. The Xinavane operations in the Manhica Distrcit and the Mafambisse operations in the Dondo District will both be expanding their business and services by taking over the workshop on behalf of Tongaat Hullett. The teams will provide a full service to maintain and manage the fleet for the foreseeable future.

Entering the Organic Sugar Cane Industry with Pure Life Foods    

Unitrans Mozambique has entered the organic sugar cane industry with the Pure Life Sugar Cane Project. This project has a planned project area of 11000 hectares and includes sugar cane, maize and soybean. Unitrans will cover the transport of molasses and sugar from the field to the factory.

Fuel Transport Contract with Total Mozambique

On 7th May 2020 Unitrans Mozambique started long term distribution for the oil and gas company Total Mozambique. The contract includes distribution in Beira with delivery to Chimoio in Manica Province and to the Vale mine in the Tete Province as well as distribution in Nacala with delivery to Nampula and Palma. In addition the new business includes cross border transport of bulk lubes from Johannesburg and Durban in South Africa to Tete in Mozambique.

Molasses Distribution for Grains for Africa

Unitrans Mozambique has started distribution of Molasses from Maragra and Xinavane to South Africa currently running 5 vehicles with opportunity to grow fleet in the upcoming months.  The contract is based on the agricultural season in Mozambique and will run from May to the end of the year.
