As an ardent supporter of effective industry bodies, and active participant in driving transformation across the sector, Unitrans highlights its commitment towards uplifting the transport sector as a whole. Collaboration between Unitrans and industry bodies is paramount in ensuring the efficiency, resilience, and compliance of our supply chain service provision. Industry bodies offer valuable expertise, insights, and regulatory knowledge specific to their sector. When combined with the operational capabilities of Unitrans, this leads to optimised processes and enhanced outcomes. By partnering with industry bodies, Unitrans gain access to updated standards, best practices, and emerging trends, enabling our teams to adapt our services and effectively meet evolving industry requirements. Moreover, such collaboration fosters innovation, as it encourages the exchange of ideas and facilitates the development of new solutions to address common challenges. Ultimately, this partnership not only benefits the individual companies involved but also contributes to the overall advancement and sustainability of the industry as a whole.

Road Freight Association

Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions (USCS) are proud members of the Road Freight Association (RFA). Acting on the board and providing specialist input on green transport, we actively participate in furthering the importance of embedding sustainability into road freight operations across South Africa. The Road Freight Association (RFA) is the largest and most comprehensive national trade association for the trucking industry. Since 1975, the RFA have leveraged the strength and size of their membership, to successfully help the road freight sector remain sustainable, competitive, developmental and to grow. The RFA supports the reduction of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions in mitigating climate change and actively encourages members to understand their emissions profile and reduce it accordingly.  The RFA also engages in strategic discussions with oil companies, vehicle manufacturers and operators to look at viable and sustainable green solutions for the industry.
