Rail Services
Our rail operations allow for an alternate haulage solution to an already overburdened road haulage system. Unitrans Africa, in its ambition to service its clients’ needs, currently runs a rail solution between the port of Maputo and Zimbabwe. Each train offering delivers 70 vehicles worth of cargo and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by in excess of 75%.
Our unique offering encompasses a patented wagon design that allows for flexibility in handling multiple commodities in either direction of loading.
Unitrans Africa will grow this offering over time and across more territories and will work with our customers to grow this offering and provide sustainable solutions through the rail networks in Africa.

Unitrans Africa transports petrochemical products from its clients’ various terminals and offers an end-to-end solution.
Unitrans Africa’s fleet includes state of the art equipment transporting petroleum products including diesel, petrol, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Jet Fuel, Illuminated paraffin, Avgas, HFO and Naphtha. Unitrans Africa also has experience in the transportation of industrial and cryogenic gasses.

To ensure excellence and compliance in the delivery of services to stakeholders, Unitrans has developed learning and development programmes targeted at professional heavy vehicle drivers. Unitrans is accredited as a registered training provider with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
